About

Officially the Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum, this small museum near Ikeda Station tells the story of how Ando, after the war, invented flash-fried instant noodles in a shed in his garden, which has been reconstructed inside. A wall of thousands of instant noodle packages traces the products spread around the world, and there is a tunnel of Cup Noodles history. The highlight is My Cup Noodles Factory, where you decorate your own cup, choose a soup and four toppings, and watch it sealed and packed in an air-pillow bag to take home. For a deeper experience, the Chicken Ramen Factory lets you knead, steam and fry noodles from scratch (advance reservation). Admission to the exhibits is free.
