About

Sugari sits at the end of a dark, narrow passage off Shijo-dori near Karasuma, in a beautifully converted townhouse with a long counter. It is the sister of Menya Takakura Nijo and serves motsu tsukemen: thick noodles dipped into a rich broth loaded with chewy, sweet beef offal, a Kyoto twist on Tokyo-style dipping noodles. Curry tsukemen and motsu soba (in soup) are alternatives, and extra black wagyu can be added. Tabelog Ramen 100 regular with more than 2,000 reviews.
