About

Each summer restaurants along Kiyamachi, Pontocho and Saiseki build temporary wooden decks (yuka) over the Misosogi channel on the west bank of the Kamo River. Diners eat outdoors with views across to the Higashiyama hills, with menus from kaiseki to Italian and bars. The season set by the Kamogawa Noryo-yuka association runs from May 1 to October 15 in 2026.
