About

Ebisuya started its rickshaw business in Arashiyama in 1992 and is now a fixture of the town, with pullers waiting by Togetsukyo and the main street. Tours range from a short spin to hour-long routes through the bamboo grove, along the Oi river and into the back lanes of Sagano that buses can't reach, with stops for photos. Pullers are trained guides and many speak some English. It is touristy but genuinely fun, and a smart way to see the quieter parts of Sagano without walking.
