Arashiyama Main Street 嵐山 長辻通
The busy street from Togetsukyo Bridge past Tenryuji to the bamboo grove, packed with snack stalls that went viral: Kyoto croquettes, yuba, sakura soft-serve, dango and matcha everything.
About
Nagatsuji-dori is Arashiyama's main artery, running north from the river past Randen Arashiyama Station and Tenryuji. It is crowded with snack stalls and souvenir shops, including Kyoto beef croquettes, grilled dango, kinako warabi-mochi, matcha soft-serve, and pickles. Social media made many of these snacks famous, especially in autumn. The street gets very crowded mid-morning to late afternoon, so go early or late.
