About

Built into the Kobe end of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge (opened 1998), the promenade runs 150 m out from the shore inside the bridge structure, about 47 m above the water. The 8th-floor observation lounge has views of Awaji Island, Osaka Bay and the Seto Inland Sea, and the 'Marukibashi' glass-floor path gives a view straight down to the sea. A cafe sits inside.
