Kobe Airport, on an island in Osaka Bay, has a free open-air observation deck on the terminal roof facing the runway. Beyond the planes you see the Kobe skyline, the Rokko range and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge on clear days. The new Terminal 2 (opened 2025 for international charters) also has a viewing deck.
