About
Hyogo Canal was dug in the Meiji era and is among the largest canals in Japan. Along the Shinkawa section, a 300 m promenade is softly lit at night, and the lights of both banks reflect in the still water. Waterfowl rest on the canal. It is a quiet, local side of Kobe close to the Central Wholesale Market.
