About

Hikoki no Oka sits just off the end of Narita's main runway on the Shibayama side, a short walk from the Museum of Aeronautical Sciences. Depending on the wind, aircraft either thunder past on take-off or float in low over your head on approach, close enough to feel the engines. The hilltop plaza has a brick heart-shaped design and monument, a favourite foreground for photos with planes behind, and it is popular at dawn and dusk. Parking is free and it is open around the clock.
