About
Akasaka Park was laid out around existing ponds and woods when Narita New Town was developed. Walking paths run through the forest north of the pond, and the park preserves Funazuka, the largest kofun (ancient burial mound) in Narita city. In cherry season locals gather for hanami. It makes a calm green stop if you are staying in Narita and want a break from the airport.
