Oita Airport Terminal 大分空港
Oita's airport on the Kunisaki Peninsula, about 50 minutes from Beppu by Airliner bus, with flights to Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Seoul, a free onsen foot bath and Japan's only hovercraft link.
About
Oita Airport (OIT) was built on reclaimed land on the east coast of the Kunisaki Peninsula and handles domestic flights to Tokyo (Haneda and Narita), Osaka and Nagoya, plus international routes to South Korea. It's compact and easy: arrivals on the 1st floor, the information counter and the free 'real onsen' foot bath right outside arrivals, souvenir shops and restaurants upstairs. Getting to Beppu means the Airliner express bus (about 50 minutes), and since July 2025 a hovercraft service skims across Beppu Bay to Oita city in about 35 minutes.
