About

Mount Oyama at the eastern end of the Tanzawa range has been a pilgrimage mountain since the Edo period. A cable car climbs to Afuri Shrine's lower shrine and Oyama-dera temple, famous for autumn leaves; from there a 90-minute climb leads to the summit shrine with views over Sagami Bay and Enoshima.
