About
Zenpukujigawa Ryokuchi follows the winding Zenpukuji River for about 2.5 km through residential Suginami. Cherry trees arch over the paths and riverbank lawns, making it a quieter alternative to central hanami spots, and big zelkova and metasequoia trees give shade in summer. Downstream it joins Wadabori Park, so a long riverside walk is easy.
Highlights
- Riverside cherry tunnels in spring
- Long flat walking and cycling paths
- Connects with Wadabori Park downstream
Tips
- Weekday hanami here is relaxed compared with central Tokyo
