About

Ukima Pond formed when the Arakawa river was straightened, leaving an old meander behind, and the park now surrounds it with lawns, cherry trees and fishing spots. A Dutch-style windmill stands by the water and is a popular photo spot, especially with spring flower beds below it. The park also protects a patch of native sakurasou primroses that bloom in April. Free.

Tips

The park is right outside Ukima-Funado Station.
Fishing is allowed in designated areas only.
