This counter sits within the JR conventional-line paid area directly in front of the south transfer gate to the Tokaido and Tohoku Shinkansen platforms. That makes it the most convenient drop point if you're stepping off a bullet train from Kyoto or Sendai and want to explore Tokyo for the day before heading to your hotel, or if you've checked out and want to sightsee before an evening train. It opens slightly earlier and closes an hour later than the other JR counters at Tokyo Station, and charges by total size on the standard JR East Logistics scale. Large and oversize luggage welcome.
