About

Opened in 1996 and refreshed many times since, Joypolis fills three floors of DECKS Tokyo Beach with around 20 attractions mixing physical rides and Sega's game tech. Highlights include Half Pipe Tokyo, where you and a partner rock a skateboard-style car up a giant ramp; the high-speed indoor coaster Gekion Live Coaster that has you hitting drums as you ride; VR attractions; and a changing roster of anime and game collaboration rides. Admission alone gets you in, with rides paid per go, but the Passport (admission plus unlimited rides) is better value if you'll do more than four. Evening passports from mid-afternoon are cheaper. Teens and young adults love it; younger kids are limited by height restrictions, so check before you buy. Lines are short on weekdays.
