About

Designed by Kenzo Tange and completed in 1996, Fuji TV's headquarters is two towers joined by a lattice of sky corridors with a huge titanium-clad sphere locked into the grid at the 25th floor. Photographers shoot it from the open plaza and from the Yume-no-Ohashi bridge for symmetry, from directly underneath for abstract grids, and from the Odaiba Seaside Park side at blue hour when the sphere reflects the sky. The sphere houses Hachitama, a paid observation room, but the best photographs of the building are free from outside. The giant outdoor staircase leading up to the 7th floor is itself a striking geometric shot.
