About

Run by Image Forum, an organisation dedicated to experimental and independent film since the 1970s, this cinema shows contemporary arthouse releases, restored classics and documentaries, with talks and festival programmes. Time Out Tokyo and Metropolis both list it among Tokyo's notable independent cinemas. Foreign films are normally screened in the original language with Japanese subtitles (look for 字幕 on the schedule, not 吹替 = dubbed); Japanese films are usually shown without English subtitles.
