About

Stretching along a bluff above the Tama River, Tamagawadai Park preserves the Kamenokoyama Kofun and a chain of smaller burial mounds (the Tamagawadai kofun cluster), with a small exhibition room showing how they were built. Paths run under tall trees with lookouts over the river, Futako-Tamagawa and, on clear days, Mount Fuji. In June the 'hydrangea path' fills a valley with thousands of blooms. Locals walk their dogs here and then wander the elegant streets of Den-en-chofu with its old restored station building.
