MUJI's global flagship: six floors of minimalist everything, a bakery and fresh-produce market on the ground floor, a MUJI Diner in the basement and a MUJI Hotel on top, the brand turned into an entire building.

About

Opened in 2019 a block off Chuo-dori, MUJI Ginza is the most complete expression of the brand anywhere. The store spans B1 to 6F: fresh juices, a bakery and seasonal produce near the entrance, clothing, stationery, skincare and furniture above, plus customisation services and limited-edition items you won't find in branch stores. The basement MUJI Diner serves simple, regional Japanese set meals, and the sixth floor holds the ATELIER MUJI GINZA design gallery and the reception of MUJI HOTEL GINZA, whose rooms are furnished entirely in MUJI. For fans it's an essential stop; for everyone else it's a calm, well-designed retreat from Ginza's crowds.

• Tax-free with your passport on ¥5,000+ per store per day; from 1 Nov 2026 you pay the 10% tax at the till and reclaim it at airport customs, so keep purchases in your carry-on

• Stationery and travel-size refill bottles are the best value souvenirs
