About
Mt. Kumotori, the 'cloud-grabbing mountain', marks the meeting point of Tokyo, Saitama and Yamanashi and is the highest point in Tokyo. Most hikers climb from Kamosawa in Okutama or from Mitsumine Shrine in Saitama, staying overnight at a mountain hut or campsite near the summit. On clear days the panorama takes in Mt. Fuji and the Southern Alps.
