About

Kura Sushi is one of Japan's biggest conveyor-belt chains, and its 'global flagship' a few minutes from Senso-ji was designed to give visitors the full Japanese experience in one stop. The huge dining room (around 270 seats) borrows the look of ukiyo-e prints and a traditional festival, with retro game stalls such as shooting galleries and yo-yo fishing around the edge. Ordering is by touchscreen with plates delivered on lanes, and every time you slide five empty plates into the table slot, a short animation plays and you might win a gacha capsule toy. Prices are standard Kura levels, so it is one of the cheapest fun meals in Asakusa.
