About

Izumi Tenku no Yu sits on the top floor of the Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport, connected to Terminal 3, and draws natural spring water from deep below the reclaimed land. The outdoor baths face west across the Tama River towards Kawasaki and Mt Fuji, while the indoor side has saunas, bedrock baths and a long lounge where travellers nap between flights. Towels, bath towels and loungewear are included in the admission, so you can walk in straight off a plane with only hand luggage. It is expensive by Tokyo sento standards, but for a long layover or an early-morning departure it is one of the most civilised ways to wait, and it doubles as a place to reset before a long-haul flight.
