About
Higuchi Ichiyo wrote her best-known stories while living in this Ryusen neighbourhood near the old Yoshiwara district. She died at 24. The museum opened in 1961 and displays her handwritten drafts, poems and letters. A diorama shows the area as it was in the 1890s.
