Homemade Ramen Muginae Homemade Ramen 麦苗
A Michelin-recognised Omori shop famous for flawless shoyu ramen and wontons, run on online reservations plus a 9 a.m. same-day sign-up sheet.
Deluxe bowl with wontons: ¥1,800
About
Muginae, in a residential street between Omori and Omori-Kaigan stations, is one of the hardest bowls in Tokyo to get and one of the most rewarding. The menu centres on clear shoyu and shio ramen with house-made noodles, generous chashu and silky wontons. Because demand is so high the shop runs a system: some seats are bookable online through TableCheck, and the rest go to a same-day sign-up sheet at the door from 9:00. Once the days slots are full, service ends, sometimes by mid-morning at weekends. The ticket machine is cash only. A newer branch operates in COREDO Muromachi, Nihonbashi.
