About

Harmonica Yokocho is a warren of about 100 shops across a handful of covered lanes on the north side of Kichijoji Station. By day you can buy taiyaki, Japanese sweets, fish and kitchenware, plus the famous Satou menchi-katsu queue around the corner. After dark, the stand-up bars, gyoza counters, yakitori grills and wine bars switch on, some with stylish modern interiors designed into the old stalls. It is more relaxed and younger than Shinjuku's alleys and a natural follow-up to Inokashira Park.
