Klein Dytham's woven-T architecture houses one of the world's most beautiful bookstores, Daikanyama Tsutaya Books, with a lounge bar upstairs and an urbane village around it.
About
Three linked pavilions wrapped in a lattice of interlocking 'T's hold Tsutaya Books: deep selections in art, design, travel, cars, food and photography, magazines from around the world, and a music and film floor. Upstairs, the Anjin lounge has walls of vintage magazines and serves coffee and cocktails. The surrounding Daikanyama area, with Hillside Terrace by Fumihiko Maki and Log Road, is one of Tokyo's calmest upscale neighbourhoods.
