About

Uguisudani is the quiet station on the north side of Ueno Park, the back way into the Tokyo National Museum and Kan'ei-ji. Outside the South Gate, turn right as you leave the building to find 20 small lockers. Inside the South Gate, straight ahead, are 15 more small ones. Both take 100-yen coins only and neither has a suitcase size. For bigger bags go to the North Gate: after tapping in, go down the first stairs to find 13 small, 2 medium and 2 large lockers that take IC cards, coins and notes. Private 24-hour lockers (200-300 yen) also sit in the lanes off the South Exit toward Kototoi-dori.
