About
Hanjotei is Osaka's permanent venue for Kamigata rakugo, the Kansai tradition of seated comic storytelling, opened in 2006 beside Osaka Tenmangu. Its daily afternoon program features a series of rakugo performers along with variety acts such as magic or juggling. Performances are in Japanese, but the setting and style are interesting even without following every joke.
