Osaka-umeda Station (Hankyu) 大阪梅田駅(阪急)
Hankyu's grand terminus: ten parallel maroon trains lined up under one roof, the largest private-railway terminal in Japan, with a monumental view from the 3F concourse.
About
Stand at the end of the 3F concourse and watch Hankyu's glossy maroon trains leave for Kyoto, Kobe and Takarazuka in near synchronised departures from ten side-by-side platforms. Hankyu's classic livery, unchanged for a century, wood-grain interiors and green seats make this one of the most photogenic terminals in Japan. Below the station is Hankyu Sanbangai, a 1969 underground arcade, and across the street the Hankyu department store with its famous vaulted mosaic ceiling restored inside.
