About
HEP FIVE's red wheel, with a giant red whale sculpture in the atrium below, has been an Umeda icon since 1998. Each gondola makes a 15-minute rotation to a top height of 106 m above ground, with views over the Umeda skyscrapers and as far as Osaka Castle and the Rokko mountains. Gondolas have Bluetooth speakers to play your own music. It was closed for remodelling from October 2025 to spring 2026; check the official site for current status.
