About

Mugi no Yoake ("Dawn of Wheat") is tiny, out of the way and worth the trip for ramen fans. Its bowls bring numbing pepper into elegant chuka soba: a scallop broth with Sichuan pepper and a beef-shoyu version with sansho, both with excellent noodles. With nine counter seats and a strict one-order-per-seat rule, it is best for solo diners or pairs. It is a Tabelog Ramen WEST 100 pick.
