Marchen Chapel has run canoe and kayak schools for over 20 years and takes small groups kayaking on the Hozu River in Kameoka, the same river as the famous boat ride down to Arashiyama. Lessons are tailored to each group's pace, and the shop has a cafe for relaxing afterwards.
