About
Ieshima is reached by a 30-minute ferry from Himeji Port and offers an easy island escape from Himeji Castle. Ieshima Shrine, with over 1,000 years of history, protects sailors and hosts the Tenjin Festival on July 24-25. The Ieshima Jukkei, ten scenic spots, include castle ruins and Edo-period remains.
