Narita Yume Bokujo (Narita Dream Farm) 成田ゆめ牧場

About

Narita Yume Bokujo is a family farm park in green hills about 11 km north of the airport. Visitors can pet and feed animals, try hand-milking cows and make their own butter or ice cream, and finish with famously rich soft-serve and milk from the farm's own cows. The seasons change the programme: strawberry picking from mid-January to late April, a sunflower field from mid-July to late August, and illuminations and camping events. On some weekends a volunteer preservation group runs small steam locomotives on a narrow-gauge line in the grounds. It is a long way from the airport by public transport, but with a car or taxi it makes a wholesome half-day.
