A free rooftop deck on T1's 5F with a sweeping view of the 4,000 m Runway A, where jumbo jets take off and land all day. The raised Mountain Deck gives the best vantage.
About
Terminal 1's observation deck stretches along the 5th floor of the Central Building and looks straight out across the parked aircraft to Narita's main 4,000 m runway. You can watch heavy long-haul jets land and depart with flight boards and the airport's hum all around you. The raised section called the Mountain Deck lifts you above the fence line; tripods, stepladders and large equipment are not allowed there. It is free, open late, and the best way to burn an hour before check-in without spending money.
