About
The park occupies the site of the Negishi Racecourse, opened in 1866 as Japan's first Western-style horse track. Wide lawns and cherry trees cover the old course, and the 1929 first-class grandstand still stands as a striking ruin. On clear days there are views of Mount Fuji and Minato Mirai.
