About

Yanaka, Nezu and Sendagi (Yanesen) form Tokyo's best-preserved old downtown, with temple lanes, Yanaka Ginza shopping street and craft shops, and this privately run center on a Yanaka side street is its unofficial welcome desk. English-speaking guides share local tips you will not find in guidebooks, and the center doubles as a cultural classroom: calligraphy, flower arrangement and kimono dressing, plus home-style Japanese cooking and sushi-making sessions. It also arranges walking guides, sells souvenirs, and offers free Wi-Fi and power outlets. It is four minutes from Sendagi Station and about 12 minutes from Nippori.
