Yamashiroya stands opposite Ueno Station's Hirokoji exit, a tall slim building packed with toys on every floor, character plush, Studio Ghibli and Disney goods, anime and kaiju figures, Japanese trains and Tomica cars, puzzles and model kits. It's a long-running favourite for families and toy collectors, and it's perfectly placed for a stop between Ueno Park and Ameyoko. Floor themes shift with trends, and prices are standard retail.
