About

Award-winning bartender Shingo Gokan, who made his name in New York, opened The SG Club in 2018 in Jinnan, just north of Shibuya Crossing. The ground floor, Guzzle, is an easygoing bar with cocktails, highballs and bites, open to walk-ins; downstairs, Sip is a dim, intimate cocktail lounge with a themed, regularly changing menu, plus a cigar room. The bar has ranked on the World's 50 Best Bars list several times. Drinks are imaginative but approachable, often with Japanese ingredients like shiso, yuzu or sake, and the service is polished.
