About

The Bellwood channels the kissaten and bar culture of mid-century Japan, with dark wood, vintage lamps and a back bar lined with old bottles, on a quiet street in Udagawacho just above Shibuya's crowds. The menu reinterprets classic Japanese cocktails and highballs with modern technique, and food runs from bar snacks to the tiny Bell Sushi omakase counter tucked inside. The Bellwood entered the World's 50 Best Bars at No. 48 in 2025 and has appeared on Asia's 50 Best lists several years running (No. 79 in 2026). It is buzzy, stylish and friendly, and makes a perfect pairing with the SG Club nearby.
