About

The Kojimachi parish, entrusted to the Jesuits in 1947, is named after St. Ignatius of Loyola and serves an international congregation with Masses in several languages. The present building of 1999 centres on an elliptical main church, its egg shape symbolising life and resurrection. It stands next to Sophia University and the cherry-lined Sotobori embankment.
