About
The Sarue timber yard stored lumber for the shogunate and later the imperial household, which donated it to the city in 1924, hence "onshi" (imperial gift) in the name. The park is split by Shin-Ohashi-dori: one side has wooded walks, ponds and a big childrens playground, the other has tennis courts and sports grounds. Cherry trees make it a friendly local hanami spot. Free.
