About
The Tsukiji Catholic Church stands in Akashicho, once the Tsukiji foreign settlement, and served as Tokyo's first cathedral. The present building, rebuilt after the 1923 earthquake, has a Greek Revival facade with Doric columns that is unusual for a church in Japan. The interior is open to visitors daily outside services.
