Special karashibi miso ramen: ¥1,500
About
Kikanbo is one of the most famous ramen shops among visitors to Tokyo: a dark room hung with oni (demon) masks and a pounding soundtrack, serving a rich miso ramen in which you choose levels of kara (chilli heat) and shibi (numbing sansho pepper). The special karashibi miso comes with fall-apart chashu; a coriander-topped version and an "oni-mashi" extra-everything option are popular. The Kanda flagship is a short walk from Kanda station, with a branch in Ikebukuro.
