The first ramen shop ever awarded a Michelin star (2015), now in a Yoyogi-Uehara basement, serving its signature shoyu soba.

About
Tsuta became world-famous in 2015 when its Sugamo shop received a Michelin star, the first ever for ramen. It later reopened in a basement two minutes from Yoyogi-Uehara station and continues after the death of founder Yuki Onishi in 2022. The signature shoyu soba, built on a blend of soy sauces and a clear broth, is joined by a monthly rotation of dishes drawn from the founders many recipes. The old numbered-ticket system from Sugamo is gone; you simply queue.
