About

Housed in JAL Maintenance Center 1 next to Shin-Seibijo Station, the SKY MUSEUM combines a hands-on exhibition about how an airline works (pilot and cabin crew uniforms through the decades, cockpit simulators, maintenance tools, the story of JAL's crane logo) with a guided walk into a working hangar where engineers service 777s and A350s just metres away. Planes taxi past the open hangar doors and land on the runway beyond. After a 2025 renewal the visit runs about 130 minutes and became paid for teens and adults, while children 12 and under remain free. Explanations are in Japanese, but English materials are available and the spectacle needs little translation. Reservations open online one month ahead at 9:30 Japan time and popular slots go in minutes.
