About

ANA runs its own free tour from its maintenance base on the airport's east side, a 15-minute walk from Shin-Seibijo Station. Sessions start with a briefing on how ANA keeps its aircraft flying, then lead out onto the hangar walkway where you look down on and walk beside 787s and 777s in for inspection, with the runway activity visible beyond the open doors. An exhibition hall before and after the tour covers ANA's history and the different jobs at an airline. It is in Japanese only, but aviation fans of any language find it thrilling and it costs nothing. Reservations open online a month ahead at 9:30 and tours run Tuesday to Saturday, making it a good alternative when JAL's tour is sold out.
