About

Shimbashi is one of the best-supplied Yamanote stations. Outside the gates, the passage running from the Shiodome Exit (left out of the South Gate) to the Ginza Exit (right out of the North Gate) holds five JR banks, each marked with a cartoon animal sticker: from the Shiodome end, roughly 39, 41, 42 and 24 lockers, then about 44 nearest the Ginza Exit. Large 700-yen units total around 30, and on weekday afternoons most were free. Underground, the Ginza Line has banks by its Shiodome-side gate (with large units, PASMO payment) and by the JR gate, and the Toei Asakusa Line has about 50 small lockers near Exit A3. The Yurikamome station for Odaiba has lockers inside and outside its East gate, and the Shimbashi Ekimae Buildings have private lockers on B1.
