Yasuke is one of the long-established restaurants of Sakais old town near the Shukuin tram stop, now run by the fourth generation. It was named in Tabelogs Sushi WEST 100 list in 2025 and is a reservation-only counter that sushi lovers make a special trip south for: seasonal Seto Inland Sea and Osaka Bay fish, careful aging, and a calm local atmosphere that feels a world away from Kitashinchi prices and crowds. Lunch is the accessible way in; dinner is a full omakase with small dishes. Combine with Sakais knife shops, the Rikyu and Akiko museum and the Hankai tram.
